Well, you left me and you went away
You said that you’d be back yesterday
You’ve broken your promise and you left me here alone
I don’t know why you did it babe, but I do know that you’re gone
Well I’m walking the floor over you
I can’t sleep a wink, you know it’s true
Hoping and I’m praying as my heart breaks right in two
Well I’m walking the floor over you
Well someday you may be lonesome too
Walking the floor is good for you
When your feet start walking and it won’t hurt you to try
Remember that I love you babe and I will till the day I die
Walking the floor over you
I can’t sleep a wink you know it’s true
Hoping and I’m praying as my heart breaks right in two
Walking the floor over you
Walking the floor over you
I can’t sleep a wink you know it’s true
Hoping and I’m praying as my heart breaks right in two
Walking the floor over you
Walking the floor over you
I can’t sleep a wink you know it’s true
Hoping and I’m praying as my heart breaks right in two
Walking the floor over you
Well I’m walking, walking the floor over you
I can’t sleep a wink you know it’s true
Hoping and I’m praying as my heart breaks right in two
Walking the floor over you
In 1978 I had the pleasure of seeing Ernest Tubb and the Texas Triubadors in Colorado Springs. That Saturday night is one of the most memorable nights of music I can recall.
My grandpa used to watch mr. Tubbs show all the time. I remember when my Ma and PA had to work making a living for me and my younger brother and they had to work at nights a lot. Old grandpa would watch me and my younger brother. I remember he would watch mr. Porter Wagoner show and Buck Owens on TV but his favorite was Mister Ernest Tubbs show. God Rest Your Soul grandpa I love you.
In 1978, at a honkey tonk in Colorado Springs, CO, I had the privilage to shake the hand of Ernest Tubb and each ogf the band, that was a special Saturday night.
