Speak softly, love and hold me warm against your heart
I feel your words, the tender trembling moments start
We’re in a world, our very own
Sharing a love that only few have ever known
Wine-colored days warmed by the sun
Deep velvet nights when we are one
Speak softly, love so no one hears us but the sky
The vows of love we make will live until we die
My life is yours and all becau-au-se
You came into my world with love so softly love

Al martino was one of the greatest italian singers i ever heard only matched by few like pavarotti he is one of my personal favorites and wish he could be with us today
This was the song my husband and I danced to as our First Dance during our wedding reception...we spent weeks learning a choreographed dance from one of my bridesmaids, who is a professional ballerina/dance instructor...even now when I hear those big crescendos I go to tears because I remember how all our guests started clapping like crazy because we had these elaborate spins and steps at those moments. The best day of my life was when I married my best friend, and the best moment (aside from our vows) was when we danced to this song.
