You’re always my mind
Instilled in my heart
You’re always on my mind
Although we are apart
You’re always, always
Always on my mind
Baby, the reason why I know
I can’t forget your face
Cause everywhere I go
I see you everyplace
You’re always, always
Always on my mind
Life is so empty
Along with a broken heart
Please, please tell me Honey, why did we have to part
You know it’s you I love
To my heart you hold the key
I pray the stars above
That you hurry back to me You’re always, always
You’re always on my mind
I was born in the 50’s and I can remember as a youngster listening to my family playing his music in the house and on the car radio.Smooth as silk with his lyrics and voice that was distinctive. A class act, before Motown their was SAR and Tracy LTD records. Man what a showman Sam Cooke was. An activist and a businessman during the civil rights through song and action. A legend only to be stolen from us at the hands of a fool! I still listen to his music in my 67 tbird. It’s as though I were in a time capsule and with a voice so clear as if he still graces us with his timeless music.Sam Cooke the Greatest singer as Muhammad Ali stated at his heavy weight championship fight when both he and Sam we’re in the ring. What a loss for all who loved his music. A powerful brother! R.I.P.
