Also, if you want to check out someone who had possibly the best legato in existence(both musically and technically), search for "Shawn Lane - not again" is a great example of great musicality and technical ability. The ending may not appeal to everyone in a musical way, but I see in the way of a "musical roller coaster" instead of a "walk in the park".

Here are some you must see: Allan Holdsworth Mac Man, Derryl Gabel Miles from Home, Magnus Olssen None Secret Hat Tower (Sweden Ibanez Demonstration) and Randy Rhoads Texas Sound Check. Dimebag Darrel 1984 solo and Edward Van Halen 1988 Solo (VH France) are my favorites too!

I watched those and was mesmerized to say the least! Rice with the Angels intro sounded like Heaven. Not Again the ending truly is a roller coaster. He was using Holdsworthian Legato, Hybrid Picking and String Skipping at blistering speeds! I never seen someone move that fast before! The drummers and bassists were awesome too! I love legato guitar: Allan Holdsworth, Derek Taylor, Derryl Gabel, Shawn Lane and Magnus Olssen. Even some metal guitar with legato: Randy Rhoads and Criss Oliva.
