the current attention to Sinatra (100th anniverary of birth) should bring JS into focus, although that has lagged behind, unfortunately. It is more than her perfect tone; it is her fidelity to the musical score. In the Dorsey period, she stands out while being able to blend seamlessly with the Pied Pipers. She credits Sinatra with that same ability.
