The world’s largest, strongest nuclear bomb to be ever created was the Soviet RDS-220 hydrogen bomb, known by Western nations as the Tsar Bomba. Its mushroom cloud went up to 56 kilometers into the sky, and its equivalent is to 50 megatons of TNT, which is approximately the detonation of 3800 Hiroshima bombs. It was tested and exploded by the Soviet Nation on October 30th, 1961. The detonation occurred 4km above the ground – everything within 1000 square km was burned down. Normal thermonuclear weapons explode in just two stages, while Tsar Bomba exploded in three. It was so powerful that its shockwaves went around the earth for three times.
