Arguably his best album.....and yes Sneaky Pete on pedal just resonates in your head when you just think of this track...Have seen him many time and never been disappointed.Saw him on his last tour at The Sage in Gateshead and he finished the show with Take it Easy....then gently morphing into Lady of the Well.It was so note and sound perfect that it was just as though you were listening to the album itself.....!James Hennighan Yorkshire, England

To me, what makes this version superior to the more common Eagles version is the use of brushes on the snare in the chorus.

Jackson Browne had all but the last verse wrote for Take It Easy. Jackson Browne gave the song to Glenn than Glenn wrote the last verse and finished the song. It was told on The Eagles documentary.

Jackson is terrific!  I once volunteered backstage at 1 of his shows.  The guy performs as wonderfully as The Eagles!  "Gotta love that kind of music!  The Eagles ROCKED our world!  I got to see them in concert twice -- once in Oakland Stadium (The Coliseum) & once at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View.  My sweetie Kathy lived in that city.  3 cheers for this fabulous tune!  Peace & love, Cav!
