They don’t make 'em like that anymore
They don’t make 'em like that anymore
After old Papa John they broke the mold
Rock on! Papa John. Rock on!
Rock on! Papa John. Rock on!
They know ol' Papa John has come and gone
They don’t make 'em like that anymore
They don’t make 'em like that anymore
After old Papa John they broke the mold
Now John would get it on with the band
Yeah Creach could screech like no other man
Make you weep with the sweep of his hand
Yeah you couldn’t stop dancing to his boogie woogie blues
With a stiff upper lip he paid his dues
Nobody’ll ever fill ol' Papa’s shoes
'Cause they don’t make 'em like that anymore
No they don’t make 'em like that anymore
After old Papa John the broke the mold, rock on!
Now Ol' King Cole was a merry ol' soul
He called for his pipe and he called for his bowl
Then he called for his old fiddler’s soul
And John just played 'em his favorite song
He played over and over all day long
Then he played over the rainbow and was gone
They don’t make 'em like that anymore
They don’t make 'em like that anymore
After old Papa John they broke the mold
Rock on! Papa John. Rock on!
Rock on! Papa John. Rock on!
They know ol' Papa John has come and gone
They don’t make 'em like that anymore
They don’t make 'em like that anymore
After old Papa John they broke the mold
