I was 14 years old..the summer of 1960...I met Wanda Darlene Thomas, beautiful sky blue eyes, golden hair. Her step-father(James D. Morgan) was in the Air Force, TDY, stationed in Texas for the summer. Wanda was a true dream to me...after summer her step-dad was stationed in San Francisco, and she was gone forever. I had been playing guitar for 2 years, knew every Johnny Cash song at the time we met. 3 years later, I joined the Navy, boot camp San Diego...got many dimes, called every James D. Morgen in San Francisco...never found the right one. I shall never see her again, but I will NEVER forget her.
