If you read about Lisa Garrard, it is a made up language by her when she was 12 years old. She said it is very close to the language that one might speak to God. So....very spiritual to her and we should look at it that way too. My 2 cents.

Have you heard the other version of this album, it is distinctly different. Lisa Gerrard posted it on her site well over 10 years back, it is beautiful but heavy with "oriental influences", her voice sounds very different! She said in a radio interview that she wished she had conducted the orchestra for The Mirror Pool herself as it did not come out like she had wanted.

Love this song....the first time i heard it, years ago, it moved me in a way I was unprepared for, and it frightened me at first. But now...nothing but love for this amazing song.
