Tony Williams is well served by the recording mix. Ron Carter is tremendous partner in rhythm but Tony is incessantly insightful with his playful yet serious playing. The other players are here co stars, and each is fine with subtle contributions to a great Tony Williams record.It is astounding MILES attracted these four players for this band; but COLTRANE was once a sideman, too, for MILES. ☺.MILES was a leader. I miss MILES.
