How do you write a song that both encompasses all the beginnings and ends in life? Being born. Dying. Love. Pain. Happiness. Sadness. Before. After. The thin veil of existence where peace and chaos are hand and hand in unison. Like the deep heavy pain in your chest when you think of family or loved ones or the fleeting feeling of being alive one minute and gone the next. Truly a testament to the very nature of human creativity executed in a profound manner. They really knocked it out of the park with this one. I love y’all so much.

Wish there was some way I could see how popular this album from My Bloody Valentine was when it was released back in late 1991 and forward through the 90s. Was it popular with kids, teenagers, adults or all of the above? Was it played frequently at popular locations, friend hangouts, parties, ice and roller rinks. radios, etc.? For some reason I’m just so curious!! Was born around that era however though wasn’t born till 1993.
