Baby I see this world has made you sad
Some people can be bad
The things they do, the things they say
But baby I’ll wipe away those bitter tears
I’ll chase away those restless fears
That turn your blue skies into grey
Why worry, there should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now
Baby when I get down I turn to you
And you make sense of what I do
I know it isn’t hard to say
But baby just when this world seems mean and cold
Our love comes shining red and gold
And all the rest is by the way
Why worry, there should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now
I listened to this song when my brother was out of the country for four and a half months and I missed him like crazy. It was so soothing even though I hardly understood the lyrics back then.
nana has done it again it is beauti ful i didnt know she had a version of this song ive heard chet adkin everly bros dire straits and emmylou h arris they were good but nanas version was simply beautiful as always chet adkins instramental version was very good ive heard alot of songs by nana mouskouri they were all very very beautiful
What a masterpiece....Thanks to Mark Knopfler for having written this most exceptional piece of music and thanks to Nana for having added her wonderful vocals and to Robin Smith for the classy production - an incredible beautiful cover version of this one!
