The music to the film is, to me, superior to the film itself. The whole album is amazing - was one of the first records I bought, and listening to it in its entirety is thrilling. You can tell Sakamoto himself recognises the brilliance of this piece, as this piece forms the basis for a few other pieces in the record, some with sung portions, which are great as well. I prefer this purely instrumental version, though - it taps into the exact unknown that only music can tap into.
