The music was written by Wally Nightingale who was ousted from the band shortly before they morphed from the Swankers into the Sex Pistols. Steve Jones wrote the original lyrics but they were discarded by John Lydon who wrote a completely new set of words. The tune, however, remained exactly as Nightingale wrote it.

Very rocking song! But not the best one… They have many "best songs" imo! Holiday in the Sun, Bodies, God save the Queen, Anarchy in the UK, etc... But, Did you no Wrong is a great "punk rocking" tune, leaning more towards "rock" though!
