Give me your eyes that I might see
The blind man kissing my hands
The sun is humming, my head turns to dust
As he plays on his knees
(As he plays on his knees)
And the sand and the sea grows
I close my eyes
Move slowly through drowning waves
Going away on a strange day
And I laugh as I drift in the wind
Blind dancing on a beach of stone
Cherish the faces as they wait for the end
Sudden hush across the water
And we’re here again
And the sand and the sea grows
I close my eyes
Move slowly through drowning waves
Going away on a strange day
My head falls back and the walls crash down
And the sky and the impossible explode
Held for one moment, I remember a song
An impression of sound
Then everything is gone forever
(A strange day)
(A strange day)
This band is more than a reflection of an era. It is a phantom asteroid who returns to set his sights on sound art. A decadent wave laden with paradoxes from which obscurantism and the irrational escape, hypnotic factors defying vulnerable souls in search of the absolute. This sound architecture is a short tunnel that leads to light !
Wonderful performance!....I always loved that he has maintained his voice on note and just as powerful as the first time he sang it....long live The Cure!
DYING EVERY DAY WITH CANCER IS A STRANGE DAY WITH AN INFUSSION STUCK IN YOU"RE ARM. Wish I will go on, and The Cure have only made my life more accepting since hearing them from 1984. Los Angeles was great and meeting a lot of people and playing in bands. 17 years is like 17 seconds too me. I hope it all continues till the day I"m ....
