Much less irritating than the version recorded by the Trashmen. Why is it not more popular?

To be honest the Trashmens song is very catchy and is a different take on the original. Both versions are good.the Trashmen should not have claimed to have written the song, its obvious that they just rearranged the song and made their version of it. They did not write it like they claimed if the rivingtons came out with their songs a year before.
