Nice tune and song of that era when real instruments were played. I have nothing against electronic music but for me this sort of music sounded better. And the voices of the singers without any electronic aids are cool to hear.
One of those Songs my late Dad used to hear and I learned to like. He played it often on his record player in the fifties of Last Century and it is still good to hear.
Arranged by Sy Oliver. The importance of the arranger is often overlooked. Influential arranger Jimmie Oliver played a big part in the success of Jimmie Lunceford’s band, and he had recently been hired by Dorsey. He was rewarded by getting this big hit with Sunny Side.
Beautiful tune and song and so well performed really it is very nice to hear and enjoy and to remember my late Dad returning home from the office wearing his business suit whilst my Mother cooked supper for us all. I romped along the house then with my Kid Sister now gone too. Nice remembrances this beautiful music brings to me whenever I hear it.
This melody and song is simply beautiful. It is nice to hear well played instruments and lyrics with real meaning instead of the meaningless inanities most of today songs say. Besides it brings to me so many remembrances of my late Dad who liked to play this tune in his record player. Nice and good music.
Very nice tune and song which is very well played and performed and the lyrics are nice to hear too. I remember my late Dad relaxing on our living room after a day of hard work. He liked to hear this song and it is a very good one and now is one of my favorites.
