I like this song a lot but this cultural appropriation stuff is crazy. She has unfortunately been misled by her parents that she has native american ancestry and she really has tried to take it too far. Fans have done her family tree and her ancestors are listed as white in the census. She has said she is specifically part cherokee, but the ancestor that she claimed was full blooded cherokee is listed as white in the census.
